Creepy Stuffed Bears

One night I had a dream that seemed to be inspired by Dean Koontz novels. The dream involved stuffed bears that were alive and had human intelligence. They all looked like normal plush bears with plush "fur" varying from white to brown. Many of them wore little red knit ski caps.

Johnny Weir, Skater Turned Badass Hairstylist and Detective

Recently, I had a kind of funny dream about Johnny Weir, a free-spirit figure skater who had United States Figuring Skating officials tearing their hair out in his competition days. I have been a fan of his skating, and was sometimes frustrated that he had a lot of ups and downs and didn't quite reach his full potential. These days, he's a TV commentator for figure skating and other events.

A Vampire Goes on a Hot Date

Since this is the month of tacky Halloween decorations and bags of little candies, it seems appropiate to post this dream involving a vampire.

I Go to a Job Interview in a Flying Car

This is one of my favorite dreams, simply because it was neat and had so much detail, almost a lucid dream. In the dream, I was supposed to show up for a job interview at some building in east Denver, where Stapleon Airport used to be during early evening when it was already dark. I was in Golden at the other side of Denver. Since it was rush traffic and to beat the traffic, I called a flying car to take me there.

Pop-Up Renaissance Fair in the Middle of Night

In this dream, I was living in a condominium building on the top of a hill with my unit overlooking open space with sad, scraggly trees, yellow prairie grass and a dried-up creek. A lousy view, to be honest.

All for Nothing!

In a dream 2 years ago, I was at a newsstand in an airport, looking through magazines. I came across a magazine named "All for Nothing" with a lot of negative messages on the front like "I Worked My Ass Off for Nothing!" At first, I thought it was a sarcastic magazine, but as I leafed through it, it was really full of little articles by angry or depressed people complaining how terrible their lives are (like a twist on "Penthouse Letters" without the steamy sex parts). Who would publish such a mag and who would read such a thing? :-)

Being Ill-Prepared for Quizzes

It seems that dreams about showing up for a final exam that you haven't studied for are fairly common, and I certainly have my share of them. In one dream, I somehow got sidetracked and totally spaced out about the class. Only when I remembered to get back to the class, it was time for a test, and of course, I was totally lost. In another dream, during a test (after being away from college for many years and then somehow returning to a class I haven't been to for years), I snapped at the teaching assistant, "Excuse me, I was having a life. So I didn't have time to study for this, sue me!"
