Shiny New Taxi Cabs

A bit of backstory before I describe this particular dream -- in mid-1990's, I lived in Boulder, Colorado, at an apartment hear Baseline Road and the highway 36. On the other side of the highway from my apartment is a rather large shopping center with a Safeway grocery store, restaurants, services and various stores, such as Michaels the craft store. I haven't been to Boulder for several years due to logistics (namely that it's a little far from Houston, Texas.)

In this dream, I'd returned to Boulder though I'm not sure if it's for visiting or to live. I decided to visit the Michaels store at the shopping center, and strolled there. Unfortunately, it turned out that Michaels store, , was gone. Instead, in its place was a snazzy storefront car dealer that specielized in nothing but brand-new taxi cabs. We're talking about the old-school yellow king with strips of black and yellow checks running along the sides and round corners. The kind that you'd see in Yew York City decades ago. Several of these cars were displayed inside the store under bright lights, and even one rotated slowly on a big turntable. I have no idea who would buy one of these things. Maybe someone pursuing a serious career in Uber or Lyft.

Note: after the dream, I looked up this Michaels store -- it was indeed gone from the center, having moved northward to a different area of Boulder. No idea what is in there now.

Borrowed Blue Shoes

I seem to have so many dreams about amusement parks and roller coasters,

even though i never worked at one. I do have a soft spot for amusement parks. Heck, this blog is named after one of these dreams. But, I won't waste time analyzing why in this particular post.
