Swamways, a Gang of Nightclub Owners Dressed Like Super-Heroes

A few weeks ago, I came off a 5-day bender of the anti-inflammatory steriod Prednisone which was prescribed to me to treat a medical condition. Let's say it was like being prescribed a mild version of speed where I zipped around the house despite getting ony 5 or 6 hours of sleep. The night after I finished the drug, I "crashed" in bed and had a really vivid dream about a group of people called Swamways, dressed up in superhero outfits.

The Swamways were a group of about 8 persons -- men and women, and I don't know where they came from, though one or two seemed to be from Russia. They dressed like DC Comics superheroes in 1960's.  The women wore bright-colored outfits with mini-skirts in shiny fabrics, with white go-go boots. One wore orange and hot pink, one wore yellow and orange, and so on. Tthe men wore shiny blue short-sleeved tops with little zigzag affects and slim-fitting pants. All of the group wore short white caps and black eye masks like Robin and bank robbers in cartoons. However, they don't seem to do any kind of crimefighting. In fact, I'm not sure if they have any sperpowers. Instead, they own a bunch of Sixties-themed nightclubs around the clity plus one swanky hair salon that does only night appointments. At night, they would zip from nightclub to nightclub in a limousine (I guess it has to be a limo in order to accomodate 8 people) painted in yellow and orange with rocket fins affixed to it. At the back of each nightclub is a ramp, which the limo would zoom up to the second floor level. From there, the Swamways would enter the nightclub, onto a high dais where they would, well, pose like super-heroes, while observing the nightclub goers below.

At one point, the camera took a top view of one of these ramps just outside and then zoomed onto a white round porcelain plague set in the asphalt, revealing the Sixties-style logo of Swamways in black, surrounded by little black stars. That's how I know the name of the group.

the ramp's asphalt floor with Swamways's logo (the name surrounded by a few black stars) on it.

There wasn't any plot herek more like a mood piece. But it was a neat drea, though.

Oh, and lest I forget, the end of the dream had one of the men standing in a hallway, saying in my direction, "See you later." I guess that probably means the Swamways may pop up in a future dream. We shall see. :-)
