In this dream, my husband Steve and I were driving through a hilly area, and we stopped at a red light. Two teenage boys came out of nowhere and somehow managed to pull one of the front wheels from our car even with the engine running and us sitting in it. The boys ran away with the wheel, and we gave chase, leaving the car there at the intersection.
First, the boys ran up a steep hill, along a row of townhouses, each townhouse climbing the hill like a gigantic stair. The hill was steep that we had to cling to the handrail running alongside the sidewalk. (It make you wonder why they didn't just put a staircase in the place of the sidewalk, and just how do these townhouse residents manage to get to their houses, anywya?) Finally, we caught up to the boys at the top of the hill, only to see them dart into a large modern church perched at the top of the hill.
Once we entered the church, we got a surprise. Instead of something church-y like a big nave full of pews and an altar. Instead, we found a really big video arcade arranged like a mall department storewith two floors, with a big opening in the middle of the second floor with balcony railings, so you could look down at the first floor below. Many people of all ages milled around and played video games of all kinds. It was like a Macy's store converted to a Dave and Barry's, with a church facade slapped on the front.
Steve and I ran around on both floors, looking for the two thieves or a missing car tire, to no avail. And at one point, Steve and I somehow got separated, so I ran around and up and down the video arcade in a panic, looking for him instead. Unfortunately, the dream ended there, so I don't know if I found him.
