Why have I chosen "Lemon Drop Ride" as the name for my dream journal, you ask? Well, I wanted to go with names like "Dream Cat," "Dream Tree" and "Garden of Dreams" but these had been taken. Also, there is a foundation named Garden of Dreams that I didn't want my blog to be confused with. Lemon Drop Ride was the name of a roller coaster I'd ridden in a dream, and it certainly was unique. And available for use in a blog, not to mention. If we want to get really metaphorical about it, we could say that we are taking a roller coaster ride through my dreams.
By the way, as far as I could find out, there is no such ride of any kind named Lemon Drop Ride in the real world. But then again, that's typical of my dreams -- I dream of places and things that never existed in the real world. I rarely dream about actual places -- if I do, it usually takes in the future or in a separate timeline -- I've never dreamed about the past. (For example, if I dream about my old childhood home, I'd be visiting it the present day.) It's as if I'm looking at a mirror universe when I dream. I do dream of actual people, such aspeople that I have seen on TV, in the news or the like, as much as I dream of people I've never met.
Now, let us board Lemon Drop Ride and begin the dream journal...
